About
The Shenandoah Circuit is a 22-turn, 2.2-mile (3.5 km) road course that first opened in 2004. Widely considered one of the most technical circuits of the recent crop of race courses, the Shenandoah also boasts a smaller scale replica of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife's famous banked Karussell turn. It's also known as the concrete jungle.

Whoever said winning wasn't everything, obviously NEVER had cancer!
Many of us, including petrol-heads like those at Gran Touring Motorsports, have been affected by cancer in some form or another. And since we all want to live life at 7000 rpms all the time! That got us thinking... what better way to bring support and awareness for cancer research than through a Motorsports inspired Walk/Run!
GTM in partnership with AutoInterests and Summit Point Raceway proudly invite you to come join us for a Shenandoah Circuit Track Walk on July 31st to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Where is Summit Point? – West Virginia, nestled between the Charlestown “Races and Slot” and Berryville, VA – roughly an hour from DC and NOVA. 201 Motorsports Park Circle, Summit Point WV, 25446.
- I want to camp! First come/first serve on paddock spots with electric hookups for campers and RVs. “Rustic Camping” available at the paddock, with showers. There are no camping fees; you can “rent electric” for the weekend roughly $15 at the main gate. See the map below. Shenandoah Paddock will be open starting 5pm onwards on Friday June 30th.
- Pets/Kids/Guests – all are welcome.
- Will there be food? – Yes; there will be a food truck “King of Flavor” apparently some excellent Jamaican food; and some other contributions and grilling. We’ll have some beers, sodas, etc. but if you’re particular BYOB.
- What’s the event schedule? – The day-of schedule can be found here on Paddock-Pal. We will have “Parade Laps” during the lunch hour, where you can drive your car - helmets off - at highway speeds around Shenandoah Circuit behind a pace car. The track will be open all day for a High Performance Driving School, tons of cars/action – spectating is free. The walk/run will start at 5:30pm and run until dusk. There will be vendors, cars on display, goodie bags, silent auction, food, virtual racing for the kids, a DJ and more!
- Ride Alongs - During the afternoon sessions, you’ll also be able to partner with a coach (or other authorized drivers) for a ride-along in one of their cars – myself included. If you’ve wanted to experience what it’s like on track in a Corvette, Porsche, Mustang, etc… it’s a great opportunity to ride with seasoned drivers and get a feel for what this sport is all about. Stop by the ACS booth and visit with Penny Horner, our coordinator from ACS – she will provide you with another wristband; this will waive normal ride-along fees that AutoInterests charges, etc. Please visit “hospitality” and sign the AutoInterests event waiver (waiver #2) to make sure you’re covered. Long pants are required to ride as a passenger
- Anything I should know when I show up? – Yes; when you arrive at Gate-1 of Summit Point, sign the waiver and let them know you’re there for the ACS (or AutoInterests) event at “Shenandoah Circuit” – they will instruct you to follow a painted line to the track. Once you reach the bridge crossing over the track, someone will be there to guide you on where to park, etc. They will most likely provide you with a teal wristband to wear. You will now have a total of 3 wristbands (if the front gate gave you one); you must wear them at all times while on campus.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to find to reach out 202-630-1770. And Stay Hydrated! Thanks to everyone reading this without you folks, none of this would be possible!
